On May 18th, 2026, the International Council of Museums - and museums around the world - will celebrate International Museum Day
The theme of this years celebration is Museums: Uniting a Divided World
To help support this important message, Vox Museorum has created a documentary series, Museums Between Worlds.
These films demonstrate how museums, regardless of their size or scope, bring diverse communities together to help unite a divided world.
Each film combines on‑location interviews with museum directors, archival material, rich visual storytelling and soundtracks by Vox Museorum's Music Director and renowned recording artist, Wayne Horvitz. The series prologue of Museums Between Worlds will be released on International Museum Day, May 18th, 2026
